Connecting your calendar to Heyweek puts your meetings and events right next to the hours you track. This guide walks you through connecting an external calendar, choosing which calendars to show, and keeping the connection current.

Connect your calendar

Bringing an existing calendar into Heyweek means you only have to look in one place to see what's coming up.

  1. Open the Calendar in Heyweek and look for the option to connect an external calendar.
  2. Choose the service you already use — Google, Microsoft, or Apple — and authorize the connection so Heyweek can read your events.
  3. Pick which calendars to include if you keep several, so only the relevant ones show up.

Once connected, your events appear in Heyweek alongside your work. Heyweek reads your calendar to display your events; it doesn't change them.

See your schedule alongside your work

The calendar is most useful when your meetings sit next to the work you're tracking.

  • Glance at your events next to the time you're logging, so you can plan a realistic day.
  • Connect more than one calendar and show only the ones that matter, to keep the view focused.

Keep the connection current

A calendar connection is only helpful if it stays connected.

  • Updates flow in automatically, so changes you make in your external calendar show up in Heyweek.
  • If something looks stale, reconnect the calendar from Integrations to refresh the link.
  • Disconnect a calendar any time if you no longer want its events in Heyweek.
NOTE

Heyweek's calendar shows the events from the calendars you connect. To create, edit, or set up recurring meetings, use your own calendar app — those changes then sync into Heyweek.

Tips

  • Connect the calendar you actually plan in, so your Heyweek view reflects your real availability.
  • Show only the calendars you need — a focused view is easier to scan.
  • Pair your calendar with a steady time-tracking habit so planned and tracked time line up.
