Keep your team in sync — with discussion that stays close to the work it's about.

Overview

Good communication keeps projects moving. Heyweek brings chat, the team feed, comments, and notes together so conversations happen where the work lives, instead of scattered across other tools.

The building blocks

  • Messages — Chat directly with teammates or in group conversations, without leaving Heyweek.
  • Team feed (Pulse) — Post updates and follow your colleagues to keep up with what's happening.
  • Comments — Discuss a specific piece of work right on the task, invoice, or file it relates to.
  • Notes — Capture lasting context and documentation the team can refer back to.

Chat with Messages

  • Reach teammates with Messages for quick, direct conversation or group chats.
  • Keep day-to-day coordination in Heyweek so it's tied to the work you're doing together.

Comments in context

  • Leave comments directly on a task, invoice, or file to keep feedback where it belongs.
  • Reply to a comment to keep a focused discussion together.
  • Because the discussion sits next to the work, anyone who picks it up later has the full context — no need to explain what "it" refers to.

Share updates with the feed

  • Post short updates to the Pulse feed and follow the people whose work you want to keep up with.
  • The feed is a lightweight way to share progress without a meeting or a long email.

Works with the rest of Heyweek

  • Send direct messages and group chats through Messages.
  • Share updates and follow colleagues in Pulse.
  • Communication is scoped by your Teams, so the right people see the right discussion.
  • Capture lasting context and documentation in Notes.

Tips

  • Comment on the task or file itself rather than in a side channel — future-you will thank you.
  • Use the feed for broadcast-style updates and Messages for back-and-forth conversation.
  • Keep durable decisions in Notes so they don't get lost in chat history.
